Default Humminbird 788ci HD DI - Why DownImaging?

So, you're idling along looking for deep suspended fish, and you feel quite confident in your skills when it comes to interpreting sonar. As you go over a big tree you have caught some really good fish on before, you see this on your display ... What's timber and what's fish, if any at all?

Click here to see the DownImaging screenshot.

Did you spot the 3 suspended fish just above the thermocline?

that is cool, I just bought one of the 788ci hd di's and I really like it. Not sure how to do the screen shots yet though.

I don't see any fish on that one. Definitely a lot better view of the same structure, the book on a color unit says the red would be a much stronger signal causing one to think fish might be present.
