I couldn't tell you because I don't know how much current the motors use at your selected speeds and conditions. I would contact Minn Kota. They got a "cheat chart" they use. These customer service folks gotta have "crutches". Right Humminbird Greg?

Like Tom said you need to know the amp draw at the speed you want to give you a more accurate answer. However I don't think the 36V will give you the 8 hours, maybe 6-7. 4 batteries with the 80 lb motor should with no problem assuming you use the same size batteries that you are now using.

the 80lb with two batteries would be a little cheaper than the 36v with one battery and with the 80 i could take the extra two out unless i was pulling cranks

The 80 lb with 2 batteries is probably the way I would go but then again you do have more battery maintenance and possibly another charger. Fishing gets expensive.

I get 4 or 5 hours pulling with my Terrova 80. When it dies, I just use the big motor. If I had the space, an extra set of batteries would be the way to go.

I have a Terrova 24v 80# US2 and On my 22' CC I can run all day... 10 hours holding on BP's in winds 10-20 mph in the open part of the lake. At the end of the day I had still 75% charge on the batteries. Runs much longer than my MG Tm ever did and it was only 67@ thrust. It pulls my boat 2.8 mph into the 15mph wind! Hope this helps you.
