How do you get the pvc to stand until crete dries?
How man do you drop in one spot?
How do you get the pvc to stand until crete dries?
not the master obviously but if you look at this post you will see i have built the same things with sac's guidlines labled on here http://www.crappie.com/crappie/crapp...ss-builds.html
i mixed the concrete so that the consistency was not watery at all. when you stick the pvc in it doesnt move at all, and once it dries you can literally pick the structure up by the pvc pipe and throw it!!!!!
I was surprised to hear that the pvc showed up on sonar. For some reason I thought you had to put the metal rods or aluminum foil or something in them to get them to show up. Do you think the pvc attracts fish as well as wood?
I love the PVC as its snag proof and it shows up JUST fine on the fishfinder...Gotta get some pics up here.
Thanks for the response. I was wondering about your experience because some people seem to have the opinion that wood attracts more crappie. If the pvc works as well, it sure would be better for the reasons you mention and also because it doesn't rot. Thanks for the info.
Those are nice, Im working on some like that myself right now. I was just gonna leave the bucket on them, any suggestions on that matter? Thanks
Danny
I'd like to make 4 of these...about how much cement would I need?
just started making these I really like these, was making some like J&j sells but these are better great ideas ....come from great people
I used to think that also. I think the reason some PVC does'nt show up is that it's all verticle in shallow water. My wood pallet stakebeds have a few small wood stakes (VERTICAL PLACED). The pallet shows up as a small bump on the bottom. The short 1''x 2'' stakes about 2'-3'
tall set apart 1' or more only relect off the tops. Not much for small depth finders to pick up. Brushpiles have lots of Horizontal limbs which makes for more to pick up on your depthfinders.
