    Default Brush Piles

    Hey guys,

I have a question about brush piles. Can you actually keep putting out brush piles on the same location like a hill top or creek bend and end up putting to much brush at that location? Or is more brush usually the way to go?

    Thanks,
    Sam

Better to build lots of small brush piles . One big one usually becomes a community fishing hole very quickly .

    Thanks Nimrod,

I guess it's like everything else. Don't put all your eggs in one basket. Great Idea.

When I put them out I refresh them every now and than since they will rot. It they don't produce they are left to rot away.
I like to put them in groups of 2 where I can anchor the boat and fish out both sides at once. I also place them where the wind doesn't become a problem. I never make them bigger than half the size of the boat. Unless someone is really looking hard they will motor right over them with out stopping.

I put about 8 to 10 stakes per 1/2 five gallon bucket with enough concrete to sink . I place 6 to 12 per spot .
