I have not noticed them in any fillets I have cooked.
Do you bother removing them?
Do you notice them if you don't remove them?
Ive eaten crappie all my life, and until recently, fishing some healthier lakes with thicker, fatter, healthier fish, usually keeping 10-11" fish to eat, I've started noticing pin bones.
I don't mind bone-in, whole fish. I don't mind bone-in chicken, but if I find a bone in something that shouldn't have it, Im lucky if I finish it. Not sure why lol
Ya'll picking pin bones? Maybe I don't fry them long enough but meat is nice, white, and flaky and not overly done.

If you are talking about the bones along the lateral line, I cut them out as I fillet the fish. I leave them with the rib bones.
Take 'em out of every fillet, right along the lateral line as mentioned above, regardless of size of fish.
Yes, I was talking to myself; sometimes even I have to ask for expert advice.
I'm with you about not wanting to finish a meal once I find a bone. Weird I know. I cut the bones out while cutting the rib bones but have discovered if I try to get all the meat I can I get some of those bones too.
I am guessing I cut most of them out when I cut ribcage out

I tend to find those when I try to cut close on the ribs, if I make a less conservative cut I get them out. But I do run my finger down and check. Can’t choke a grandchild, when I tell my wife that the fillets are boneless, they darn well better be.
they are close to the ribs and i cut around the rib cage , almost never see one in my fillets
there are draw backs to using electrics and burning thru fish for sure .
sum kawl me tha outlaw ketchn whales
I’ve never seen one, or found one in my filet.?

Pull meat away and cut rib meat when filleting . But usually If I miss one and it hits hot oil it burns off .
