    I like B&M poles
It's not the numbers or the size, it's the time spent on the water!

The largest war mouth perch I’ve ever caught came on a pre-rigged double-hook Creme black plastic worm. I had gotten several bites right at the grass edge as I would reel it back to shore. After letting it run with it each time I still had been unable to set the hook. Thinking it was a bass I told my father I was going to let him swim around the lake with it the next time bit. Well he did bite and I let him take line for what seemed like a very long time. But it worked and I was quite surprised at the size and species.

I went out yesterday morning, (Sat.), It started out a bit cool, air temp. was 52 deg., but it was clear and said to warm up near 72 deg.. I went to a spot I don't fish to often as I haven't figured it out and haven't caught any fish at. It's on the James River between hyw 60 and hyw 65 not far from that junction. From the walk over bridge, you can fish any part of the river, to include the bridge support on both sides, which is where I usually am. I know there are crappie, large mouth bass, Kentucky bass ( rough tongue and red eyed ), as well as pike in these waters, I simply haven't landed any myself, till I went yesterday. I was using my old reliable minnow and plain ball head jig with a #6 hook in a 1/32oz head, wine bottle cork float, and my 7' BnM rod.
Now that bridge right now is a good 15' above the water, but that didn't matter. All the fish (large mouths and Kentucky's), were between 9" and 13.5 inches long, and reeled from the water all the way to me on that bridge. These BnM rods didn't even hesitate, they just bent right to work and lifted them fish onto that bridge. Granted, they weren't real big fish, but big enough. Love my BnM rods. Thanks for reading. Eric.
