• Sam Rayburn TX Trip October 2023

    Left Sportsman's Paradise and traveled to Sam Rayburn TX to slay some slabs and just get away from the daily routine with my bride for a few days with some friends. Weather turned cold and very windy which shut down the bite and made fishing very hard. We tried our best and had a blast pursuing the elusive Sacalait in a totally different environment. My bride landed her personal best ever PBE sacalait and that made the trip highlight reel. We will be back to Rayburn next year hopefully when the weather cooperates. My bride captured the beautiful sunset picture.

      Thanks for the post. You need to tie some jigs out of that shirt she is wearing. I can see them now. That very bright pink with a couple deep black strips. Just ignore the knot she puts on your head.
