That's the dilemma of the power steer. Gotta look at it cause there is nothing to feel. Lots of threads on here of guys who bass fish and like the feel and response of cables.
I never learned to use a cable steer worth a darn, I love my terrova.
Is anyone using the powerdruve v2 I have one on my 14.ft v bottom came with it when i bought it 55lb ..seems kinda hard to get used to guess im used to the cable systems ..i have a 65lb 24v

Try using your hand instead of your foot and give it some time that way.
It might take awhile depending on your mindset, but for me at least it couldnt be much easier and i can sit anywhere i want.

It's common. The Terrova and Powerdrive are just not as handy with a foot pedal as the cable motors.
You'll need to evaluate your fishing style and see which motor fits best. If you like to shoot docks or work timber, a cable may be best for you. If you fish vertical over structure or do a lot of trolling, what you have is probably best.
The Ultrex has both, but they are not cheap.
I used to have a cable steer Maxxum and miss the responsiveness when casting around docks or whatever. But I don't often fish that way, so I have a Terrova now and only use the remote.
I do alot of socks and brush that's where I was having the most problems with the cable job it was swing in turn and watch the floats and line the whole time bow it swing in cast look at the motor at the line at the motor turn it look at the line and it just do t seem to work well for me ..
So today I replaced it with the edge motor and mounted the powerdrive on the rear of the boat kinda like a kicker motor I do fish alot of electric only lakes so it may work out there also.. only time will tell . ,
Thanks ,
Scott
