Well i know what this is gonna sound like but its true i didnt have a camera on me when i caught it. I had forgotten it and didnt bother to go get it once i was gone. It was a 10 pound large mouth bass in Louisianna last year around april and it was on a top water at about 11 am.

That sounds about right to me, some years back in New Jersey, (first spring)

I was fishing a lake on an Army base and a guy came through and cast a top water, and landed the largest bass I had witnessed catching at the time. it was quite the hog.

Soon after he landed another one (not as big) but every bit of 5 or 6 lbs, again on a top water.

Was going to do excatly what you said to do........but
was squeezing him so hard for the picture that ended up
with dozen minnows, so therefore had 12 chances of catching more fish:D

Well Bob, normally when I catch a fish that big, I yell out "its a monster" Then i bounce off of my fishing buddies back to release it. That way even though he doesnt catch anything he still smells like a real figherman.
