NICE! As far as the dock owner, I would say no, he does not own the water, only the dock (unless he has a gun, then as far as I am concerned he owns the entire lake)
all were caught on hamilton in about 5 FOW. we used 2 tubes of crickets and probly caught 50 more that we threw back. by the way can a dock owner tell you u can't fish by their dock.

You Can Make a Difference!
as long as you do not touch his dock, you can fish anywhere ! He only owns the land and the dock.
he can tell you that, but he cannot legally do anything about it.
nice fish! and as everyone else is saying, he can yell and bicker all he/she wants but they do not own the water...just the dock. Iv had some people yell at me for fishing by their dock too...people are weird sometimes!
all true.we had a dock owner tell us the same thing about 2 weeks ago we were fishing in the boat stall and he said it was private property so i checked w/garland co. sheriff water unit they said the same as the other posts owns the dock not the water.he said most complaints come from part time res. most full time res. know the deal.good catch too!
Are you guys fishing private boat docks? On Greers Ferry there are sign on the marianas that state no fishing within 100'.
