What part of the state?
I went to the taxidermy shop today to pick up my wifes fish, and there was a crappie there that would be the state record. 5lbs 9oz. I saw it with my own 2 eyes. The fish was 19 1/2 inches long with an 18 inch girth. AWESOME FISH. By the way, the man that caught it did not want to claim his record...

Correction... It would have been a new world record... I do not understand why a person would not want to submit a WORLD RECORD fish..It makes me wonder how he caught it.
I would have claimed it if I had caught it with dynamite.:D

Like to see this baby and would like to know where it came from?
The white crappie record was caught here in White Co, in Little Mingo creek.
I was told by my barber who was raised in this area of the county that the guy was fishing off the road (Hwy 64) when he caught it
My bad! If I had scrolled farther, I would have seen the picture of this Baby Huey, dang what a crappie!
4 09 perhaps but I'm a doubter.
Here is another pic. This is the weight, after sitting in an ice chest all day long, and hanging in the freezer for 2 months.
