Default First Fish after Ice Break.

Ice finally gave way to about 50% of the Farm pond up here in Northern Nebraska so I couldn't wait anymore and gave it a shot...

I used to fish a farm pond every day when I was a boy. Your pan of fish and this thread reminded me of it. We used to eat fish almost every day, any which way my Maw Ma could think of to cook them. When I became an adult, she told me she fed have of the fish we brought home to the chickens because they were too small. But, back in the day she used to brag on them and told us she hopes we will bring her some more.

    Thanks

Yeah, That is all we really have up here is Farm ponds that produce nice crappie. Great eating too.
The dish I did was This takes 15 minutes to prepare...
For every 1 1/2 pound of crappie
1/2 cup of Sour Cream 1/2 cup of Mayo
1 full cup of grated parmasean cheese
    1 tblspoons of paprika
    1 freshly squeezed lemon juice
1/4 of a finely chopped white onion
    salt and pepper to taste

    Mix together in a Bowl.

Take a 3" deep Brownie pan and spray it with a non stick spray (Pam etc.)
Place crappie flat across the pan and Top with your mixed bowl of ingrediants

Heat oven to 350 for 25 minutes until your topping is lightly brown..
    Serve up!
