Default yoyos in the flood water

Everyone has been dicussing fishing the flood water. Went out today on Nimrod and set some yoyos. I got 8 good slabs , 2 nice Channel Catfish , 4 1/2 lb LM Bass and a Gar. They bit slow ,but at least we got a good mess of Crappie fillets for tomarrow's supper. Sad that I have to stoop to such low measures to get a mess of Crappie. But drastic conditions call for drastic measures sometimes.:o

I think you were pretty creative in finding a way to catch some fish. Running yoyo's to me is no different than my spider rigging, or even worse nightstalking off a houseboat dock. I almost feel like a poacher catching slabs while eating shrimp coctail and watching a plazma tv on the boat. Not much "sport" in it but it sure is productive and fun and at the end of the day lets us do what we all love and thats just spending more time in the great outdoors.

I still wish you would hitch that thing up and come on down to Ouachita sometime when Nimrod's filling up like a bathtub.

Well the bass torunament guys where catching crappie on 6 inch lizards at Hinkle this morning. The water was up 3 to 4 foot and I couldn't even catch one on small plastics. Them crappie were in 3 to 5 foot of water around cedar trees. So good luck to anyone that can catch them things. I notice they wasn't catching many bass or any at that. Water temp at west end was 51 and the cove closest to the dam on the south side was 53. Other crappie boats wasn't doing any good either using minnows.
