Hello fellow fisherman. I live in Colorado. I was born in the greatest state of all Arkansas. I haven't been there since 2002. Both my grandparents live in N. Little Rock. I grew up fishing Nimrod and Willow Beach. My Grand Father is a old WWII vet, and my biggest hero. I'm going back home because my Grand Mother has had an acute stroke. Although I will spend most of my time in the hospital, we are planning on fishing one day. That day is Friday. This will probably be the last Day I'll ever get to fish with him again. It hurts to even say that, but he as lived a long life.
I'm trying to find info on current conditions. Are the crappie in spawn. Are water temps pushing 60. Any information would be much appreciated. I apologize for being so long winded, but this means an awful lot. If anyone ever ventures in Colorado let me know. I'm always looking for a Arkansas fishing buddy!!!

You need to private message danogoldcreek and get some info from him. I know it would be close to NLR and he rents boats and trolling motors for like 15.00. The crappie should be moving to the flats right in front of his marina so the fishing could be great by Friday if the weather cooperates.
Some of the crappie we caught this past weekend had blood starting to the eggs.
So the crappie spawn is about to start...
As for water temps, I have no clue. These storms are making water levels and water temps fluctuate.
Good luck.

This site is amazing!! Thank you guys for the information. It's much appreciated. That offer will always stand. You come to Colorado, and I'll put you on some fish, or we can chase some elk around come fall!!!!
I think I am going to get a way on Friday. I plan to go to Gold Creek in the flats Gooch mentioned. If Dan sez they are in there, pick up some danamax jigs and small weighted corks from him and join me in the flats. I have a stick steer with Crappie.com stickers.

Excellent information guys. Hey Nimrod his name is Melvin Hallmark. We would always stay at Sunlight Bay, or Sunlight cove. I forgot the exact name of it. My grand dad always fishes the back waters. He has been fishing that area for 50 plus years. Every year we have a family reunion up there in October. He knows where all the buck brush is up in that part like the back of his hand.
My flight has been canceled. So now arrive tomorrow morning. Hey Danagold thank you for that wonderful advise. Hope to see you Friday!!!
Is it raining hard there. Will that mess up the fishing??
