    Default White River Flooding


    This is what Batesville looks like after all the rain. The White River is forecasted to crest tonight about 1' higher than these pictures.

    Yes gooch that is the dam and the new generating plant that you see on the right which use to be the lock.

    That's my office at White River Materials. Looks like Friday before I can get back in. About 3 ft in my shops---dread the mess. Need to go fishing.

    Yes it has been higher. The last time was 1982. I did not live here then but I think it got about 1.5' higher. Back in the 20's or 30's it got about 6' higher.
