Jerry has a sticky on the top of the main forum with Crappie Camp details. More poop will be building on the satea forum as we get closer to the weekend of April 12 / 13. You will meet people from out of state at this get together.

Millwood is also like a second home to me. My vehicle automatically heads in that direction. The fishing on that lake is definitely fantastic. We usually put in at Wilton during prespawn and Bullfrog during the rest of the year. If my wife didn't have a bowling tournament, we would be down there tomorrow, but I guess I have to wait until Saturday. We fished Gurdon pond last night and caught six in 2 hours. All from 9 to 12". South end was 49 the north end was 58 degrees. Drop me a line!!!

Hey Spikles2, I am normally down every weekend. In fact, I am going down this coming weekend. I got several condo's to build, work on my Evinrude, and set some trotlines. My place is over on the Yarborough side, right acros from the fire dept. building. Hope we can meet up some time.

BTW - wanted to let you guys know that I am an old but still sharp outboard mechanic. I owned a boat dealership down on the lake for about 15 years. I got factory certified in just about everything. When I got out of it, I sold all but my knowledge. I work on them still from my house, so if any of you need a good mechanic (that means it is right when you get it back or you get a refund), I don't charge near what the dealerships are getting because of no overhead. I can't order parts directly anymore but so far, getting them from the other dealers still works. Or, I can tell you what you need, you get the parts and I'll install for you. Not advertising at all here, just letting you know I'm here to help and save some $$$ if you need it. My cell # is 501-529-1420 if you need to reach me. I work on all brands.

Now for a report - I got a call from a local Millwood buddy that caught his limit of 15-17 inch slabs in 3 feet of water yesterday in the rain. All on minners under cypress trees. They are really starting to make their beds and eating everything they can before bedding down. I will check it out first hand Saturday. Will let you guys know the outcome.
