Awesome job as always.
Was going to rest after Catfishing last few days but a friend called wanted me to go fish today . Took his boat and had no coordinates. I had to just use my memory and his electronics to find fish . Used same Takeum 1/8 oz hand tied jig on a Huckabee 11.5' jig pole Stryker designed by Jerry Hancock. Has to be one of the lightest jig poles out there and still enough backbone to boat flip a slab . We caught a good mess and released a few on a shallow lake . Nice weather and got out before the Memorial Day crowds .

Might just catch a few but unlike Crappie some added scent might help .

I saw a catalpa tree the other day and thought “I haven’t seen catalpa worms for over twenty years”.
Anyone know anything about what killed off all the catalpa worms?

There's still a few places that produce but they're becoming less and less all the time. Liberal use of pesticides around homesteads and lawns have been the biggest killer. If you kill off the chrysalis in the ground below the trees, there won't be any worms that turn into moths to lay more chrysalis and keep the cycle going year after year.
