Just Wondering
I know this has nothing to do with crappie, but the wife and I are planning on making a trip this weekend to the Lil Red to chase the trout for a day or two. Does anyone know if the corps are going to continue the generation schedule that they are on now?? Sure hate to get up there and they open the gates. I'm not opposed to checking out the Crappie on Greers if all this water don't have them messed up.

No way to really know until possibly Friday, sometimes SWPA will release their generation schedule for the weekend in advance but they don’t always. That also doesn’t guarantee that the Corp won’t run additional water on top of whatever the power administration has scheduled.

With the lake still being 11.55' high I'd think they would let water out every chance they get.

If you fish near swinging bridge, it takes abt 3 hours to rise from the time they start generating. Right now they are starting at 9 am so you should be good until noon. I have recently caught a bunch at swinging bridge from 5:45-7:30am. Shrimp and marshmallows, power bait, cranks, and spoons like little cleos work good there.

I appreciate it. We gonna give it a whirl first thing in morning.
