    Slow bite and scattered but we stayed with it. Most of the females had already spawned!

    Good looking box of fish. I see fish with the same looking injury in three states. Always in the same area on the fish. Wish I
    knew what was causing that. If I had a guess, it was stabbed by cormorant or great blue heron.

    Stormcloud, we thought it might be a fish bite but you're right it looks like a bird may have done it. There were 2 pelicans we watched fishing all the time we were on the lake and they were having better luck than we were. lol We actually saw them pick up a pretty good size fish a time or two but they were too far to tell what kind. We didn't expect to catch anything as high as the water was either. It was up 4 feet from the week before.

    Here are the ones we caught the Friday and Saturday a week before. Friday with my son Josh and Saturday with my buddy Dean. Well I double clicked and got the same pic twice.
