    Default Horseshoe Lake Minnows

Do they still sell minnows at the store before you get to Horseshoe?

I'm a local to Horseshoe Lake and have never even fished it...but that's about to change. I'm more of a bass fisherman than a crappie fisherman but I love catching crappie too. This may be a silly question, but would I get in trouble for taking my bassboat? I realize it is a little lake but I use my fiberglass bassboat for stability and comfort, not speed. I use it about wherever there is a concrete ramp available. I would only be using the trolling motor at Horseshoe. The outboard would not even be started. My boat has a 85 hp outboard and I believe the max hp for the lake is 25 hp, correct? Does anyone know if bigger hp's are allowed on a boat as long as they aren't used???

If you are refereeing to Horseshoe Lake in Crittenden Co, near Hughes There is no motor restrictions for that lake, there are many different Lakes in ark called Horseshoe but this lake is the one most known for that name !

The lake is small compared to big reservoirs but it is not a small lake. On the weekends, party barges and ski boats are
a nuisance for people fishing during the summer months.
    Tell'em I'll be there.

I'm talking about the Horseshoe Lake in Lawrence County on the Rainey Brake WMA. How do these regulations work for any lake with a HP limit? Not allowed on the lake at all or not allowed to be started? Anyone know? Probably depends on the personality of the game warden?

I think you can fish out of any boat you can launch there.
