I don't hardly waste my time anymore trying to recover them. But, I managed to get my lure knocker hung trying to retrieve a Bandit a few years ago. I finally gave up and was about to cut both lines when I decided to wrap the cord to the lure knocker on a cleet and pull till something gave. It was the limb; with my lure on the other end. DP

I actually do use a a lure retriever but I like the looks of the snagmaster. I had one of mine go overboard once and kept forgetting to get another one so there was a time when all I could do was pull and hope the braid was strong enough. But most of the time it wasn't. Thanks for the tip.

Crazy things happen, me and Shifty pulled cranks one day and I spooled one of my reels and lost the crank, next day he fished the same area and found the crank floatin with 900' of line attached lol
