I'm so relaxed when fishing and know there is no stress from work that i need a cot sometimes so i can take a nap on the water, and being in the great outdoor's there is no better life.

I've only had a couple of melt downs. Once was while trolling cranks by myself and trolled through a school of big hybrids, I don't remember how many I had on at one time but I definitely remember how bad the mess was. Only good thing was some of them were having trouble swimming after I released them and I saw a bald eagle picking at least one of them up.

I was on Conway a few years back. I had heard about this guy single poling the cyprus trees. I found him and he started trying to show me how he was catching them. He moved aside so I could place my offering, gave me some jigs, heads, and even flipped his jig in my boat to show me how to tie it and the special way he trim it. Said the fish "like it" that way. He finally just gave up and gave me the fish he had caught. I was so humiliated that I hid under the I40 bridge and cleaned them. But, I didn't get mad. DP

Great post CrappiePro.Great timing. Our home lake is the hardest Lake we have ever fished!! Especially for Crappie.Crappie live in the 20' of water except during the spawn. When you do find crappie they are usually nice ones.We were fishing on a "saturday" started at daylight expected to get off the water around 9 ish.Had some nice ones. The crappie were on a brush pile in 20 ft of water and wanted a crappie jig held still. Hard to do in 20' of water with a jet ski making circles and a ski rig going by with 4' swells.Had a melt down.Brenda said she was not going back out on the water with that mess. Hard to spiderig in 20' of water with all that mess.We decided to switch to the White River and our area Game and fish Lakes. Thanks CP. for the post. I believe everybody has a Breaking Point...Some have just not met theirs yet. You may go a life time without getting Po'ed at something while fishing, but I'll bet these guys are very few among us. It's ok to get upset at conditions, equipment failure, at other boats and folks who are rude. That is a part of fishing. It is when we get hit with these negatives multiple times in a short period that can make a man just lose it. It is these times we must try a quell our anger from becoming a complete melt down and try our best to gain control of our anger. For some reason double minnow rigs can really make me mad. HAHA!!!

I've seen melt downs by folks I never thought I would see. For instance I never thought I would see CrappieGreg have one until one day we were fishing double minnow rigs on a windy day and Greg was running the trolling motor and run a eight pole set into a massive brush pile, that ended up with a big mess and re-tying three or four rigs. Well after we got them all retied and back into the water the wind blew.... Greg hit the trolling motor and Guess what happened? Within minutes... Another massive Spider rigging mess in the Howling wind. LOL It was at this point I observed groans and moans that quickly turned into the Queens English what I thought would never happen....A CrappieGreg melt down. His body started contorting wildly... grabbing rods, lines, and whatever else was close by that he could grab to break. He spoke unspeakable words i thought I had never heard from him before, for lack of a better term will call it Indian chanting. I can remember thinking to myself it's ok Buddy let it out, let it out, you deserve this crappie melt down. I saw it coming before it even happened, I knew he hit his crappie breaking point. LMAO.

Had three guys in a huge Yankee boat slow to about 1/3 power. They washed me with that huge wake so bad the trolling motor cleared the surface ! Then at the fish cleaning station , they asked how it was . I told them not good with wind and folks washing me off the lake . Then had the nerve or ignorance to ask where I caught my fish . Hell no I ain't giving out any information .

Iv'e always wondered if BRM had melt downs Iv'e heard stories...you know? But they are just stories from guys I know who have fished with him. Here ya go BRM maybe to help you with your four fish holds and ease possible future melt downs. HAHA!!!

Place your four biggest crappie belly to belly on a flat surface two for each hand, run your index fingers and thumbs up through the gills and slightly squeeze. Use your ring, index and pinky fingers to balance their belly evenly together for your pictures. Here is how your fingers will look from behind and how they should look for the pics. Keep trying budro you can do it.
