Thats good stuff right there Richard!!
If you guessed that my grandson was a little proud of himself in this picture you would be correct. While the little lad has been out with me several times-this was his first unassisted crappie catch. My son and I took him out this past Friday afternoon and our first stop was on a brush pile in 8 ft. of water. I stripped out about 6 ft. of line on a 10 ft. jig pole and handed it to the little one. I turned around to get another rod and the fight was on or as much fight that a 11 inch fish can give a 5 year old. Later on that afternoon we managed to catch several decent fish. My son and I returned to the scene of the crime and caught a decent mess Saturday morning. Instead of the traditional Easter ham we enjoyed a fish fry with all the trimmings. Closed out the weekend with a meaningful Easter worship experience with the entire family - doesn't get much better than this.

I figure all 3 in the boat were about equally excited. Way to go number 1 grandson.
"Number 1" is kinda a family joke. My dad always introduced me as his number 1 son. Of course I was also his only son.
Awesome fish! Love seeing the young ones grinning ear to ear!

Way to go. Good to see several generations fishing together. I wish that were more common these days. Thanks for sharing.

Life is not measured by the breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.
