We have a duck camp in dvb for the last 3 years and not once have I fished around there. We'll that's changing this weekend, taking my 3 year old to camp. Gotta test the new paint job on the boat. Thinking about dragging minnows right there in the basin or heading up to lake desarc. Anybody have any experience recently on either? Hope to have a good report.

Looks good ! Have not fished there in years but Horseshoe Lake across river used to be good as well as Bayou up river on same side as basin.

That looks great! After a repower last year and electroincs this year I might add a paint job for next year after seeing your boat. Go to the river and run that boat! The kiddo will love that more than idling across tha lake. Trust me, I know!

Had a great time at camp with my dad and boy. Saw some ducks, ate some chocolate chip pancakes, tested out the new setup (bad battery, bad trailer lights, bad winch), and actually caught a few fish on a new to us body of water around camp so all in all a great weekend
