There's a guy on YouTube goes by the name ArkansasFishing I think, he's on Hamilton. Not sure if he's on here- might check his videos out. They're pretty good.
Fellow Arkansans, we just bought a house on Hamilton last year. I was wanting to know if anybody had experience catching crappie on the lake. I've been fishing around east Arkansas and the big four Mississippi lakes. However, as you know, Hamilton is quite a bit different.
I'm set up for pushing minnows as well as pulling cranks in the summer, but didn't have much luck with either last year. I have yet to see anybody pushing for crappie but may be in the wrong part of the lake. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I have never fished there.
But, I would look for docks with brush piles and that are close to deep water. Scan points and flats that come out into the channel for structure. If it's anything like Beaver in north Arkansas. Better crappie fishing will be up river on the lake. Find flats and coves/back waters where there is less water movement. Looking for areas on a lake map that you are use to finding crappie on lakes you have fished. I would thank could also be a good starting point. I sure there will be people with better info chime in. Good luck on finding those slabs.

RCC sent me a great link to AGFC planted brush piles and their coordinates. This should get me started. If anybody has had any luck pulling cranks in the middle of the summer I would love to know about it. Thanks for all the help!

Finding docks and brush in Hamilton is easy, finding crappie is a harder thing. I have caught crappie in shallow water where creeks flow into the lake in the spring. Any crappie I have caught in the summer has been a lucky accident while bass fishing and the fish were on the outside edge of the deep weeds at night.

If you have HDS you need to search for brush and wood also try around docks, the only way i fished Hamilton is two pole jigging.
