Looked muddy a few days ago , better check before going that far. Best reports are coming from Blue Mtn Lake .
Going to try my luck at the Big D this weekend. Has anybody been up there lateley? Would it be wiser to fish the Bayou or go to Piney? Thanks for your input.

Going to Russellville Park tomorrow for a week or so. Didn't do much good at Piney couple of weeks ago. What few I caught had no shad at all in them. Skinny. Hope to beat the storm tomorrow and fish Thursday.
Fished piney chute this afternoon and only caught 1 keeper. Talked to several others that had from 0 to 6. Did not see very many shad on my graphs. Water temp was 63.
I fished for about an hour and half in Piney chute yesterday and only caught two. On my way to the boat ramp I discovered that there were shad -and lots of them - in Piney Bay area. A lot of shad were in 25 foot deep water right where the Chute opens into Piney Bay. Then I continued to see shad balls all the way down to the boat ramp and swimming area. I wish I would have seen those before I started fishing in the Chute !! The water color was good, not too muddy at all.
