Thread: Lake Ouichita

I have never crappie fished Lake Ouachita and I will be going there this Saturday. I am new to spider rigging and have had some success on Lake Nimrod doing that but didnt know if Lake Ouachita would be to clear for that and just wanted an experts opinion . Also what colors work well there, general area of the lake that would be good, and depth. Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure about spider rigging. Haven't tried it there. If you are on the east end of the lake where the water is clear or clearer, your best bet are natural colors. There is a lot of small fry in the Blakely creek areas and they were keying in on that last week. Can't tell you about the western end of the lake.

P.S. I'm no expert either!
