    Default on board charger

bought a xps charger for my alum boat. only place i can mount it is in same area as batterys & fuel tank. its a non sealed off area,
batterys are on left side, fuel tank in middle have room on right side to mount charger, will this charger put off to much heat to be in this area?
thought about having a fan blowing to move air thanks

I'm not familiar with that particular charger, but if it's designed as an onboard charger then I don't think it's a problem. I have 2, 2 bank, 15 amps to each battery, chargers between 4 batteries and behind 25 gallon fuel tank and I don't notice any significant heat. However, I do usually leave the lid cracked about an inch open just in case.

Heat shouldn't be a problem....they get warm but not hot...Like Mac Daddy I keep my hatch propped open about a inch.

Because I was having to mount mine on carpet, I took some washers and put between charger and a piece of board cut to fit. That way it lets a little air circulate around bottom of charger then just screwed the wood to floor.

I keep my lid open a little too. No troubles yet. Been doing it that way for years.
