    Default Lesson learned

What's the most expensive item you ever lost on a fishing trip? This past weekend after fishing out of the old Brannon landing, I took my little minn Kota off of the boat along with my humminbird and laid it on the bank instead of in the truck. Never thought of it again until yesterday. Merry Christmas someone. Lesson learned!

Forgot my tackle box once... You don't realize how much $$ is invested in them things until you have to replace one!

It's unlikely anyone reading this forum was the finder. Possible but not likely.

Another thing.... anything that is permanently mounted to your boat is covered by insurance with most policies. I never take mine off for this reason. If something ever happens to it, i will have a deductable, but its insured. I hope you get it back buddy.

I lost a 3 cylinder suzuki once. It just kinda fell off the back of the boat while running in the middle of the lake.

We found it 2 weeks later, and after a little TLC, it was running about 45 minutes after bringing her up.

Other than more sunglasses than I can count. I left a toolbox that held my AA electric knife, fillet knives, and other knives that I used for cleaning game and replacement electric knife blades at the cleaning station on Enid.

My brother lost our 30ft Medera 6 pack Halibut/hunting guide boat in Alaska back in 2009............. Luckly it was only in 60ft of water, after salvage costs and repair, 2 new 150hp Honda 4 strokes, new wiring, electronics and EVERYTHING replaced (also added 6 more auto builge pumps with zone alarms) I think insurance was out about 170K...... I could have killed him....

You'd be surprised at how many folks read this stuff.
