CP, age is a state of mind. At 72, I know of no better exercise than paddling my kayak in pursuit of crappies. Hang in there. BTW, some nice bigguns' your holding.
As I get older the trips seem to be getting harder, Launching the boat and loading just don't seem to be as easy as it once was. The heat gets to me allot more than it ust to, and the snags and working around the trees all day is getting harder and really stresses me at times. I think about all the Old Timers I have knew, most have past and others have just gotten too old to get out there and crappie fish the way they once did. But when I talk to them I still see the flame in their eyes. I still have allot of fishing to do but I also know Father Time is starting to catch up to me. The lake I love is not often what you would call A fast bite lake and many days it takes time and allot of work to put a catch together. I hope the good lord blesses me with at least another 20 years of crappie fishing on Lake Conway, before it become No Country for this Old Man. Oh ya same report as my last post. Tight Lines...

Russ, you are welcome in my boat anytime brother. My Dad isn't a fisherman, so I would be honored to take you fishing. I'm not planning on going anywhere, so you let me know and it will happen. It would be my pleasure to help you wet a line a few years from now. Just let me know brother.

I can already see the need for steps or landing to stand on my boat trailer or someone to back it in . My old friend Bobby Joe always said'' it just don't get any better '' ! Growing old just not easy. Just hope all the younger folks remember us when we need someone to take us fishing .

Great post CP I fill your pain I'll be 50 in june and it's definitely not get any easier but ever time I fill that tug on the end of the line it makes me fill like a kid again for a moment anyways lol! Congrats on a nice mess of fish!

Crap man I'm not waiting until you're old I'll take you Saturday. Or if that don't work, how about Sunday through Friday. I'll even throw in a cane (pole) for you if your a needin one. Heck I'll pick you up, drop you off, buy you breakfast and lunch, and I might even wipe your mouth off if necessary. But I'm drawin the line there, I ain't wiping anything else, no matter how old you get, a man has to have limits as to how far he'll go to fish with the Pro.
