Default A Tale of Two Trips

This past Friday we took a short little road trip over to the Big D. Didn't find many spawning fish on beds, we had to hunt and peck on brush piles - 2 or 3 here and there - they were scattered. We ended up with a good mess and 14 or 15 of them were real grown ups. Yesterday, I took my son and grandson out to Beaver and we were really ready to ripem - guess what - we only caught 7 fish. You know they say fisherman are full of excuses and here goes mine -I fished a part of the lake in order to avoid the crowds that I was not familiar with. The truth is I couldn't find them. However, we really had a great time together. (My grandson said to make his picture since he caught this one all by himself). I certainly didn't have the heart to tell him it was only a green carp.

Good Job RL, take em fishing... that's what they are wishing. I got a Grandson that thinks he is the boat Capt, If it's not going well he lets me know about it and starts giving me directions on where to try next and what baits to use. If that don't work...Well its snack time, keep trying and lets just chat.HAHA.
