Default Well... It's about that time again

During the summer heat I don't do much fishing unless it's at night. I sweat so much at work I don't wanna do it when I'm off. So I haven't had much to say in a few months. I still check in though.

Just found out my wife is pregnant with our first child so I'm about to fish like there's no tomorrow.

Are the water temps dropping yet? This past weekend has me itching to get out in the boat.

Congrats on the pregnancy. Nothing better than the birth of your child.

Thanks, I'm terrified but excited at the same time. The unknown is never comfortable but I'm happy about it.

Water temps falling fish are biting and it will get better as it cools. Nimrod rose up some now the COE are pulling it back out. Fall bite is already starting, Shad everywhere and fish will be fatting up for the winter. Egg sacks starting to appear and fish look better already.

30+ years ago when my wife first told me she was pregnant, I was stinking scared to death. I didn't fare much better the second time either. I never thought we could afford either one. Somehow we made it, and as far as I know they had everything they needed. Now they're on they're own. It was a great ride but boy was it fast. I wish I'd been able to spend more time with them when they were small but work and going to night school for 10 years took up a lot of time. Congratulations! You need to make time to spend time, they be grown before you know it.

Yes the water temps are dropping, at least at Greers Ferry, and they are already moving closer to shallower water. A good friend of mine caught they're limit yesterday in less than 20 FOW.

Thank you very much, I'm excited for the new fishing partner.
