Does'nt suprize me at all. I been telling folks for a long time I would not swim here. Main reason I keep seeing folks with skin infections from contact with the water with breaks in the skin. Like I said in earlier post , two campers got bad skin infections on their hands after fishing and dressing fish for a few days! Local farms apply chicken litter to hay and cattle fields for fertilizer. The manure from Chicken house litter and Cattle has to wash into the lake with all the flash flooding going on. Like swimming in a septic tank! Does'nt take a rocket scientist to figure this out when we been getting 3 to 5 '' rains causing flash floods and creeks draining local farms goes into the lake. i can smell the litter on warm evenings at my house in town and one creek runs across my property, it has been flooding with all the rain. That creek flows into Nimrod like the rest in the area.
