No. Some had a name, most had nothing. It was 4:30 in the afternoon when I pulled up on them, and the fish had likely been there all day and night.

FYI Matt, I did not cut these yo-yos. I was just jigging the trees and they fell right into my boat. Throwing them in the lake would have been considered littering. We cant have that, now can we.

Hate to see that happen. Lake I live on keeps the turtles well fed with unattended yo-yos, none labeled. Each one I come to I trip, hate seeing fish go to waste.

I fish with yo yo's sometimes, mostly for cats but do it for crappie some too. I dont understand what is so hard about proper ID and staying out there with them. I usally put them out right before dark and pole fish close to them. I hear them go off. After a few goes off I run them. Around 1am I pull them and head back home. Not hard at all.

Wish I had that kinda dough.
Could even be more expensive if the wardens would enforce the regs.

The problem wasn't with the yo-yos the problem was the person using them like countryboy says if you follow the rules and stay within sight and sound of them then you don't end up wasting fish like that

The biggest problem comes from mainly folks that live by the lake. They think just because they live by the lake they can just leave their unmarked YoYo's and limb lines up 24-7 for the rest of us to haft to fish around. I know a couple of these knuckle heads and would be happy to take a game warden right to the spot's where its going on.

Said it before, say it again. It's an enforcement problem. And I know, that's a money problem. Personally, I'd like to see one less AGFC visitor center and a bunch more enforcement folks, especially where this is a chronic problem, like Lake Conway! Just my .
