    Default Kayaks keepers

I've had alot of fun this year hunting them big slab crappies down, which to me feels like a massive understatement. I've decided to stick around and try to learn a little about lake conway this year and its definitely a work in progress. This being the first yr I've ever been on the main lake at all it didn't take long to decide two things. 1 - it's full stumps 2 - it's gotta be full of big flatheads

Now there's a change of pace! Why not take it up a notch? Go after something that's at the top of the food chain as far as conway is concerned. Sounds like a winner to me I've already got about 50 Daichi saltwater circle hooks laying around and plenty of trot line stageon.

We sat out 13 lucky limb lines the first night and pulled 3. The cherry that topped off that sundae weighed in at 32 lb. and it didn't take but a day or two later and hit for 28 with several 5-10-15s in between Name: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1397517683.161898.jpg

And as of today I've done let one off that coulda very easily went 50+ them bigguns can be feisty I do know that just wasnt quick enough with the net ... He got lifted to the top of the water when he introduce himself and bowed up slapped that tail and pointed that heads towards the bottom and left me shaking my head ... It won't be long though flathead fever done set in.

All flatheads looks like, yall didn't find and blues or channels?? It's usually the opposite for me when I wanna catch flats. I wanted to set lines last week while I was off work but couldn't figure how to do it and see my wife too.

Wow nice catch and your putting good food on the table, reducing some of those crappie slurpers population down, and having fun. It's a win, win, win situation. Good Job. LOL

Good catch , I can tell you that lake is full of Flatheads. My favorite bait is Green Sunfish then big Goldfish.
