Sounds like a good time. Sure wish the wind wasn't going to be do bad this weekend. I'd be there in the morning if not.
Good luck on the turkey!
My youngest son and I hit lake Hogue this evening. His older brother had to go to the state quiz bowl competition so we were a man down. The fishing was pretty good. There were times that we were busier than a one legged man in a but kicking contest. We caught around 25 and kept 10 that were 9" and over.
That's one happy kid! Now to go get him a turkey in the morning.
Is winter over yet?

In humble reverance to the GREAT I AM! THAT I AM!
We had a great morning and almost connected on a bird.
We were doing our best imitation of a coy, hard to get hen and he was buying it hook line and sinker. (See how I worked that fishing reference in…)
But just about the time that he got within 100 yards or so a couple of trashy hens decided to play not so hard to get and led him off the other way.
Somebody needs to tell that foolish old tom that those kind of companions will get him in trouble sooner or later!

Great job on the fish.
