    If you use a heavy piece of mono, it keeps the treble from sagging down to far from the minnow. Used #40 or heavier when i used to do this back home walleye fishing. Minnow can swim freely and hook stays close to the minnows body.
    Fishing is like pizza.......Even when it's not that good, it's still pretty good!

    Nice tidbit. I used a 12# line, but kept it doubled to make a loop. Thx for the add on.
