Im like BRM, Don't ever take my oil out. Just keep it covered. You will use it more if you keep it in all the time. I mostly just cook for the wife and I and it sure is nice just to fire it up and go!!

Get rid of that nasty cooker. There not worth the price of oil. Every time I use my cooker made like that but 8 or 9 gallons. Thinking I got it for around $400. and I hate it. Fish turn out great, Hushpuppys great, everything turns out great. Shoot people want you to cook all the time with these things now. Drain oil and strain out into SS air tight container and can use oil way more times then my old cooker.

Built it all--1/8 steel. And just for those who might wonder.....their design is not patented, and they sell the parts (regulator, baskets, orifice). The hard part is welding it together so it doesn't leak!
