Regarding the Fall Crappie Camp, should we contact Lake Greeson Park Services to reserve a campsite, or just show up?
The Fall Feeding Frenzy is on and crappie camp should be a good one.
Hope everyone that has the slightest opportunity comes out, if nothing else just to say "hey" and maybe eat some crappie with us.

I guess I should have read Page 2. I will try to do better.. :D
I checked the ReserveUSA site and if I understand it correctly reservations are not available for any of the campsites at Kirby Landing.Originally Posted by bobberwatcher
There are plenty of campsites available but there is a limited number (only in the east area) that have water hook-ups so be prepared to carry water. The showers and bathroom facilities are nice and kept clean. If most of the sites with water are filled we may stay on the west side again. The bathroom/shower facilities are a bit better over there although they are both nice and kept clean.
Wow I'd love to come out there...Dont have a boat yet, so I'll try to plan to come next year....

Taking pictures keeps me insane!
Don't let not having a boat stop you from coming. During the Spring Crappie Camp we had a few non-boaters and they had a great time and they were always invited to go with a boater. Right now I don't have every day booked during the camp, so I know there will be room in mine on some days. Just come and camp and have a great time.Originally Posted by TJ Adams

I'll be there with someone, I know she won't want to be in the boat all the time. there should be room for one more
You absolutely do not need a boat to come to Crappie Camp. In fact if you're thinking about buying and rigging a boat then you really should attend so you can see and even fish in a wide variety of boats and with different set-ups.
We'll find spots in boats for those that don't bring a boat with them. I'll be working some but I'll have some time to take folks out in mine and I can take 6 at a time!
Hey Jerry of Darryl are the shallow condos that you gave gps waypoints to this spring going to be good this fall, or is the lake too low.
A bad day of fishing
beats a good day at work.

The lake is too low for most of those to produce unless the water temps drop quite a bit and the fish move a lot shallower and even then they will likely hold only smaller crappie.
We'll get another list put together and post it again like we did last spring so everyone will have plenty of places to fish. We'll try to have that ready by the first part of next week. The fish are on the move right now and we're hoping they'll come a bit shallower and settle in before Crappie Camp. We're waiting as long as we can to compile the list so the waypoints we put together will all be productive.
