    Default Greers Suggestions?

I'm headed to Greers Ferry Lake this weekend to try a little crappie fishing. I'm from out of state and the lakes I fish I usually troll. Do you guys have any suggestions for me as to what part of the lake to fish and what techniques yall use? Any info would be great!

    Thanks,

    Mike

Man you picked a bad time to come down. The lake is up about 17' in the last 2 weeks so it is pretty muddy. The green carp have been biting pretty good if you age in to that. If I was gonna try them I would troll roadrunners tipped with a minnow. The report I got from last weekend was the lower end was not muddy but I don't know now.

It will be 18' by this afternoon. It came up 8' last month to get to normal pool so that would make 26' of water in the last 6 weeks.

Thanks guys. What about the stripper fishing? I hear there are some big ones to be caught in this lake.

Haha. I may have made a mistake with the spelling. But, if the water is as muddy as you guys say the strippers might be easier to catch than fish! I just got a new humminbird si unit so even if the fish aren't biting I can use the time to learn how to use it.

Just teasing you a little but you may be right on the stripper being easier to catch right now.Rofl I will probably be out there sometime this weekend checking things out looking for some cleaner water.

I would think this would be a good time to troll Bandit's. There are a few places I was thinking of trying some 300's on this weekend. Creekslick is right. I called the dam this morning and the lake is now 18' above normal pool. Sandy Beach by my house is under water. This side of the lake is only stained and not milky though. Not sure about the north end. Good luck either way and watch out for flooded timber and brush.
