Default Where to fish on Blue Mountain Lake?

I've been thinking of going to Blue Mountain Lake this weekend for the first time. I fish Beaver Lake all the time and I'm tried of fighting the crowds.

I've been looking at maps and google earth trying to figure out the best spots to fish for crappie this time a year. I've looked at the west end of the lake but still unsure where to start. Any advice?

One other question, are there any boat ramps on the north side of the lake? Where is the best place to put in?

Go to Hise Hill Camp ground. Its on highway 217 a little west of the lake. You will be on the river so fish east toward the lake. Hope this helps. Get you a Arkansas Atlas and Gazetteer it shows locations of boat ramps.

I fished Nimrod in the a.m., Blue Mountain in the p.m. It was tough at both, especially Blue Mountain. I marked several fish in 6-8 foot of water but couldn't get them to hit. Spent a lot of my time in a large cove on the north side of the lake close to the dam, and some of my time in the main lake area.
