I am planning a fishing trip in Mid April. never been to lake Greeson. How will the Crappie fishing be then? I have never used a fishing guide before but maybe it would be worth it on a first trip to the lake.

Where you been, Fetmo? Haven't seen you on the board in a month of Sundays! I say an investment of a day's guide with Jerry Blake on Greeson would pay great dividends not only for the trip, but from now on. Haven't had the pleasure of fishing with him on Greeson but from what I see on the board, he is a class act and is willing to share his years of work improving the fishing on Greeson. Go with Jerry!

You will really enjoy fishing Lake Greeson. The crappie are ample and the cover plentiful. Kinda know alot about that firsthand. Here's some pics from trips I guided there last April. The first shows my boat record at 3lbs1oz. The second pictures a crappie that went 17.5" and just under 3lbs. The trips I have taken to Greeson this month has already shown me the average size will be much more this spring (last two pics).

You can't beat Darryl or Jerry. I have a copy of AGFC waypoints if you need some fishing holes. The lake is down right now. I would need some guidance too if I wa going right now. Kirby landing or Daisy State park are the best camping grounds closest to the fishing holes I have marked.

I have fished with Both Jerry and Darryl. They will put you on the fish for sure. I know Jerry is booked all Month of April as I have him around the 21st for 3 days.. I live in Upper Nebraska and travel there every year. 4th trip... Get the guide service, sit back realx and enjoy..
