    Default Crappie structures

Gentleman, we need to get more structure in the pool on Lake conway. 5 or 6 years ago there was double if not triple the amount of structure in the cove and fishing was a whole lot better. You have all heard the saying, im sure, "If you build it they will come", Its a true statement, Even more so with Crappie. We need a variety of structures, I like brush, some like stakebed, some like pvc, and others like bamboo. I will be putting out some structure in the very near future, I will do this at night so as not to interupt the fishing during the day when everyone is out there. There is a advantage to putting it out or being involved in helping someone put it out, that advantage is knowing where it is located. Currently there is not enough structure in the pool to support the number of boats that fish the cove on a daily basis, thus resulting in several boats trying to fish the same peice of structure at the same time. 10 to 15 new decent sized structures would benifit the crappie fishing tremendously in the pool. I have sunk alot of structures in the pool in the past, however time has not allowed me the oppertunity to sink structure in a couple of years. Most of what I have sunk has rotted away now, there is a little of it left but not much. PM me if there is any of you guys that would like to contribute structure and time to put it out, maybe we could get together one weekend night and put it out. It would not take that much time to put out 10 to 15 structures. And the benifits would be tremendous.

Count me in, just let me know the time and place. I may have some extra material for structure as well.

I would like to help put out structure if you'll just let me know when. Even help you build it if you're talking about condos or stakebeds. Just let me know when.

:rolleyes:Good luck , we (about 4 of us )put out most of the structure on Nimrod Lake. Out of the hundreds that fish here often most never offer to help and most that offer never follow through. Sorta like all the guys that bum a drink when you have cooler of beer say'n I'll bring some next time.

I don't have any experience of building structure b/c of my river fishing background lol, but I'd be more than happy to help put some out if I can. I always just fish the shallows over there, but I've seen too many nice ones brought out from deeper water and would love to know where some of it is. I have a TX17 w/ a large open deck that could haul something or a flatbottom, whichever would be needed. Just let me know when and I'll do what I can to be there to help.
