little black ducks
What kind of ducks are these diving behind my house on lake conway. They are black with little yellow pointy beaks. I assume they are diving for baitfish. If so, can I assume that gamefish will be around there to.

A coot it is! Unfortunatly it apears that they are diving for seeds and roots from the lilly pads that died off in the fall. I was hoping that the shad had come in.

if its a yellow beak, could be a grebe, coot beaks are white
