Now Bill I fished with you the whole weekend, and slept at your resort, and I didn't hear a lie the whole time, but now you say Walleye taste better than Crappie. your taste buds are dead or something, ain't no yankee fish can taste better than a crappie. I've eat Walleye and they are a good tasting fish, but crappie taste better to me and the wife.
I am going to try them walleye, and I'll save you some if I catch some...

D10, thanks for the walleye at the crappie shindig last spring. They were good, but better than crappie? Not a chance. If I hadn't cooked them, then I'd thought maybe that was the problem. Or maybe that was the problem. Do you cook them differently? If so then someone's got to prove it to me. RCC surely you ate some of both, what's your take?

Yes, I did eat both and both were awesome. I think it was the chef that made them so good The walleye had a unique taste that I really liked, but I can't say that I liked them better than a crappie. I think I need to try them again to make a decision on which is really better. I would like to go catch one myself at some point. It's on my bucket list.

My wife and I have eaten walleye at a well know fish restaurant here in the Ozark's several times. They are good, but we still think crappie taste better. I also think bream taste just as good as crappie or walleye, I'm weird ....

Having grown up on the Mississippi River (Guess which pool) and was raised eating both, I think crappie taste better, but we used to eat some dandy sized walleye, before we knew what "conservation" was. That being said, I think bluegills are the best eating fish we caught regularly.

Im prolly gonna get flogged for saying this, but I think a 2-3lb Black Bass caught out of clean water tastes better than Crappie, Walleye, and Bream! Just sayin...
