    G54: #7/5 Florida 11, Arkansas 0
FAYETTEVILLE – The third-largest home crowd in program history packed Bogle Park Saturday evening to see a pair of multi-hit performances from Ashley Martindale and Jennifer Rambo against No. 7/5 Florida. On the scoreboard, however, the Gators came away with an 11-0 victory in the SEC matchup. With its latest result, Arkansas falls to 27-27 overall and 5-18 in conference play.

Saturday’s game was played in front of a season-high 1,106 fans, the second-largest crowd to watch a game at Bogle Park. The program record of 1,167 was set during the 2001 season against Kentucky when Arkansas was playing its games at Lady Back Yard. Prior to the game, the Razorbacks held a Senior Day presentation for Martindale.

Facing a four-run hole in the fifth inning, the Razorbacks put together their first threat of the game when Rambo led off the frame with a double to the wall in right center. In her first start of the season, Martindale followed with a one-out bunt single to give Arkansas runners on first and third but Florida starter Lauren Haeger got out of the inning with a strikeout and ground ball. The duo added another pair of base hits in the seventh.

Florida (44-10, 14-9 SEC) threatened early by loading the bases with no outs in the first inning but Arkansas starter Grace Moll responded with back-to-back strikeouts and coaxed a ground ball to escape without allowing a run. Moll pitched 5.2 innings Saturday, allowing just two unearned runs—seven overall—and striking out three Gator hitters. Defensively, the team turned its 21st double play of the season but was hurt by five errors in the game.

Games three of the series will be televised by ESPN with Adam Amin and Amanda Scarborough handling the play-by-play and color commentary duties, respectively. Sunday’s weekend finale will begin at noon (CT) and mark the ninth television appearance of the season for Arkansas. Prior to the game, the Razorbacks will honor outfielder Amanda Geile with her Senior Day ceremony.
