Sunday Morning Manna
"sowing and reaping"

"7Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap." (Gal. 6:7). This commandment is written to "a man" and "he that soweth" clearly indicates a universal application. The fact that you do not believe the Bible is immaterial. You still reap what you sow. "God is not mocked." Furthermore, you reap MORE than you sow. Nobody reaps one grain of corn from one corn seed planted: a stalk comes up with several ears of corn on it. And you don't expect to reap apples where you sowed wheat. furthermore, you often reap what someone else sows (John 4:36-37), and what you sow someone else may get to reap (Psa. 126:5). Also there is a season to reap a season to sow (Eccl. 11:2-6), and you cannot delay the harvest when it comes (Prov. 22:8). If you like to grow a garden you may remember an old farmers saying, "one year of weeds, equal 7 years of seeds." If you let weeds grow up in your garden it will take up to 7 years before all the bad weed seeds germinate. Thankfully that after we have gotten rid of all the weeds in our life and start planting good seed there comes a time when we start harvesting all the good "vegetables" that we planted. Every truth preached was a good seed (Eccl. 11:1-6), and someday you will harvest that. Every time you magnified the Lord, stood up for Him (Psa. 35:27), and praised Him for His Mercy (Psa. 103), you sowed a crop that someday will bloom. Gal. 6:8, " 8For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting." Most people, even saved people do what they do to reap a reward for themselves. But, what we do for the LORD has an "eternal reward" and God knows why we do what we do. For many years I sowed lots and lots of weed seeds. And I think most of them have germinated and died. I plan on living the rest of my life living for The Lord, Gal. 6:9, " 9And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not." I don't know about you but I world rather harvest good tasting fruit and vegetable than thorny weeds.
God Bless, have a great Sunday
