Put Americans to work and arm all of the ships that go there, period. When they have enough of their pirate boats sitting at the bottom they will leave our ships alone.

As for our hostage, last I head they have not given confirmation that he is alive in 30+ hours. They are high seas terrorists and need to be dealt with as such. If they are on the water and attack, we sink them. If they take an American hostage to the mainland we go in and get them. Negotiating will only make them more brazen and more ships will fall as they get faster ships and more weapons.
