I haven't fished over that way for awhile but Loch Raven & Prettyboy used to be good places for crappie.
Newbie here -- anyone give me some advice as to what lakes to fish for Crappie here in April? I'm in Lutherville MD (near Towson). Usually wade...any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated -- thanks!!

Of course I'll add my favorite....Joppatowne! almost any time of the year. You can bank fish in the park at Mariner Point, but launching a small boat usually gets better results.
When you say Joppatowne is there a lake by that name?
Just curious as to what method for the YP ... I'm assuming minnows or grubs on a jig under a bobber?
Plastics under a bobber for me. Minnows will work, I just don't like using bait if I don't have to.
Thanks Mike. I may just give it a go tomorrow morning at Joppatowne. Don't have a boat but if there's an area to fish from shore that'll work for me. Just wondering, has anyone ever crossed a pickerel around this time of year around this area? Also, any places close-by for minnows/worms?
