Hey Gill, I would agree with Randy’s assessment on the Iprimi. Not so good with soft plastics, but with small spoons and spinners it’s a blast. This rod was my go-to for the local stocked trout pond last year with tiny spoons, both JDM and mini DareDevles. I swapped out the trebles with some JDM hooks I got from Finesse Fishing and the fish just hooked themselves. I broke the tip and got a replacement right away. I think you’ll like it with the hard baits.

Hi Hachet, those are some beauties! The last one looked like a large brook trout with its colorful dots. BTW can you share what type of hook and size you got from Finesse? I got a few spoons I'd like to swap out as well. Thanks in advance!

Hey @LVSpinfisher1, I have used the Cultiva SBL-35 in size 8 and 10 and the Cultiva S-21 in 8 and 10 as well. I am leaning more towards the barbed type as I lose a lot more fish with the SBL’s. On the positive side, the fish come off by themselves in the net. I need to replace my smaller 5 of Diamonds as I lost it the other day. All of the spoons in this little box have worked well. In addition, the small Cultiva snaps in 00 and 000 work very well.
